The year 1995 marks the inception of Kir-Dex Transportation Services. With a fleet of only two trucks, Kirk and Dexter Chin ventured into the trucking world with the hope of becoming one of the best trucking companies islandwide. Hence the eponym Kir-Dex. Our first move was the registering of the Company under the Laws of Jamaica.

The turning point in our history came when we were able to purchase the property at 6-2nd Street, Newport West, Kingston 13, the new location of the office. With the advent of Kir-Dex in the hurly-burly of the haulage business, the company grew exponentially at an increment of thirty percent (30%) p.a both in clientele and in terms of equipment, eclipsing many of the other well established haulage companies in existence before Kir-Dex.

The company’s unmitigated success, can only be ascribed to planning circumspectly, working assiduously to achieve and perpetuate punctual delivery, reliable service and customer satisfaction. We continue to learn from hindsight, constantly upgrading or implementing new procedures commensurate with growth. Kir-Dex has moved from being a company whose principal activity was centered on container haulage, we now have a range of varied services as shown on this website.

Because of added services, the move to recruit more managers is a direct result of the significant growth in the company. As the company positions itself as a leader in the transport industry, the need to increase the scope of the expertise of the management team is our number one priority. We endeavour to strengthen the public perception of the company so that it indeed matches our span of service. We are being very deliberate in undertaking this transformation on all fronts, the aim is to offer superior value-added service that is relevant to customers. The company has a responsibilty to its clients that a solid management succession plan exist, as we aspire to deliver, espouse and sustain the same high quality service which our customers have become accustomed to over the years.

We are cognizant of the fact that people do have choices therefore, bolstering the personnel resources is paramount in the preparation for increased demand. Kir-Dex has embarked on an extensive training programme to increase the technical competence of our staff. In so doing we are creating a full service company that can respond to the transportation sector with first class competency. Ultimately we now have a slew of trained personnel in every sector armed with the germane ergonomics which from an emperical overview has played a pivotal role in the formation of the perfect symmetry between management, workers and ultimately the client. To date, the full complement of our rolling stock comprises thirty two (32) TRACTOR HEADS, done in the company’s colours (White & Red Stripes), along with over three hundred (300) chassis, flatbeds and various tonnaged lowboys at our disposal. We have in place a RADIO CONTROLLED SYSTEM to ensure REAL TIME communication with our drivers & dispatchers at all times. Supplementary to our RADIO CONTROLLED SYSTEM all our vehicles are outfitted with GPS SYSTEM for tracking and ensuring the safety of your cargo. We carry an insurance coverage for all goods in transit,-(per container per leg).
